Semolina Balls

Ingredients

0.33 cup of butter
2 Eggs
2 teaspoons of Vanilla powder
1 tin of NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
1.5 cups of Semolina
1.5 cups of White self-raising flour
0.75 cup of corn flour
2 teaspoons of Baking powder
0.25 cup of Ground Almonds
1 Lemon zest
2 cups of oil for deep frying
2 cups of sugar syrup

How to Prepare

Combine butter, eggs, vanilla powder and NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk in a bowl. Beat until well combined.

Add semolina, self raising flour, corn flour, baking powder, almond and lemon zest. Beat until smooth dough is formed. Cover with cling film and chill for 2½ hours.

Form the dough into small balls and deep fry in 170°C hot oil until golden brown.

Dip the balls into the syrup for 2-3 minutes then remove and place in a serving dish.
